Rinse a deep water goblet,
shake off
excess and place in freezer until frosty.
In a blender, puree ¾ cup
cleaned
strawberries (fresh or frozen) until smooth.
Remove strawberries to
another
container while you wash out blender.
In blender, whip up a
single-serving
pina` colada either from a prepared mix
or from scratch, adding
rum to your
liking, and plenty of ice.
(This drink is delicious with rum or virgin.)
Remove frosty glass just before
serving.
Pour 3 heaping tablespoons of strawberry
puree into bottom of glass and
quickly pour pina colada mixture down middle
of glass. The pina colada mix will
"push" the "lava" up the sides.
Serve immediately and savor
the taste of the islands. *Decorative orchid optional
